Pulse Director- Carol Siacotos

Carol was born and raised in Fremont, California and currently lives in Newark, California with her husband of 26+ years and three children.  They have two sons attending college and a daughter in her first year of high school.  She has been attending New Hope Community Church since 2001 and co-leads a small group Bible study; leads a newly formed Peacemaking Team; sets up and runs the projection during worship service; and is currently a member of the Vitality Team.  She works as a Compensation Consultant for a pharmaceutical company where she designs and analyzes employee pay programs. Carol recently completed a M.S. in Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco and earned a B.S. in Business Management, minor in Mathematics from San Jose State University. Some of her hobbies include watercolor painting, drawing, hiking and enjoying her family. 

Fun Facts: Carol enjoys eating "paleo" (Grok On!).

Pulse Interpreter- Mike Hayes 

Mike works for the Reformed Church in America nationally training and developing pastors to start new churches and the Far West Regional Synod equipping classes for their mission of starting and strengthening churches. He has also started and pastored churches in Chico, Paradise, Santa Rosa, and San Francisco. In addition to his work for the church and theological studies Mike has a masters degree in nonprofit management and is a senior professional human resource consultant (SPHR). He and his wife Cathe, have been married for 39 years and have two children.

To relax Mike loves to fly fish and is working hard to overcome his hacker status on the golf course.

Fun Facts:  Mike grew up in a family of pipe fitters and is a certified welder.

Technical Director & Interpreter- Shannon Thwaite 

Shannon grew up in the Bay Area and currently lives in San Jose with her husband, Steve and their dog, Keegan. She attended UC Davis, Santa Clara University and New College Berkeley, received a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering, a MA in Psychology and a Masters in Christian Studies.  Shannon worked for over 20 years in the high tech industry and for the last 10 years in the church, non-profit organizations and the real estate industry.  

Shannon’s volunteer work includes Big Brothers Big Sisters, Christian Challenge, Bill Wilson Counseling Center, Catholic Charities, Menlo Park Presbyterian Church, The River Church Community and New Hope Community Church.

Shannon’s two favorite hobbies are tennis and gardening and she is an apprentice puppeteer.

Fun Facts: Shannon was born in England and lived in Southern France for 6 months. She also designed and installed most of her own backyard.

Pulse Interpreter- Chuck Marr

Chuck was born, raised and spent the majority of his life in the San Francisco Bay Area. He earned a BS Management at Golden Gate University in San Francisco and worked for Hewlett Packard Company for 31 years, leading efforts in Logistics, Customer Satisfaction and Business Process Improvement.  Chuck and his wife JaneAnne currently reside on Camano Island in Washington where he is a member of the Cascades Classis leadership team supporting both the Vitality Pathway efforts as well as the Leadership Development efforts.  In addition, Chuck and JaneAnne have 5 children and 4 grandchildren.  Chuck's primary volunteer activity is serving as a Chaplain within Hope Unlimited where their agency provides Chaplain support a dozen Fire Departments and Law Enforcement agencies in Camano Island and Snohomish County. His hobbies include woodcarving, watercolor painting and singing.

Fun Fact: Chuck has been an active member of the Barbershop Harmony Society since 1999.
